The Blood Type Diet

I was chatting with my BFF this morning and I told her my goals and plans for losing weight. She told me I needed to be careful with how many fruits and veggies I eat because of something about my blood type. I've heard something about that before but not enough to know anything about it. So, I did a search online for "The Blood Type Diet" and I found a few websites that gave me a little bit of information but ultimately wanted me to pay for the info ... something I'm not prepared to do.

My blood type is A Positive. I found the website DietTV.com and here is the Blood Type A Diet Profile. What I found interesting was that it says that many people who have the blood type A have a sensitve digestive track when it comes to stress. Well, my digestive system is thrown way off track when my stress levels rise. It's very embarassing and inconvenient but it seems as though that those in my inner circle know about it and accept it. *grin, "Excuse me while I go the bathroom for 30 minutes* lol

I keep going from writing this post back to the site and just reading about my blood type ... Very interesting I must say! It says that my blood type should never eat red meat. Well, I am all about some hamburgers but that's about it. I don't usually eat alot of red meat at all. History has it that red meat irritates the type A digestive track.

The only thing I found that I don't like is that it says "no pre-packaged foods on this diet". As I said in the previous post, my wallet can't afford an expensive diet.

Well, I'm going to go research more about this whole blood type diet thing and see what I find. I'll post updates as I come across them ...

Do you have any thoughts on this?

Updated:
I typed into my web browser "type a diet food list" and I found this website. I must say .... *raising eyebrow* I'm not so sure about this! lol I'm not a big fan of waterfood (seafood). Ew! And if I do eat it, it's catfish, shrimp or crab legs. Guess what? Those are all on the Avoid List.

Also, since the fruit and vegetable diet was what got me started on all this in the first place, I am shocked at Avoid List of this food group! I love boiled cabbage, all potatoes and sliced tomatoes ... all of those are to be avoided. Now, I know that this is not something you have to do ... And I understand WHY they're on there ... I guess I'm just shocked about all this. Ya know?
